Glutathione is often referred to as one of the body’s Master antioxidants. It exists in both reduced and oxidized forms, allowing it to help neutralize free radicals and oxidative stress generated during normal metabolism, environmental exposure, inflammation, and physical stress. After binding to oxidative compounds and metabolic waste products, glutathione helps support the body’s natural elimination pathways through the liver, kidneys, and gastrointestinal system.
This process relies on multiple nutritional cofactors, including amino acids, B vitamins, magnesium, and vitamin C, which work together to support normal glutathione production and recycling within the body. Glutathione naturally shifts between reduced and oxidized forms as part of its antioxidant activity.
